10.07.06 - Three second half goals in a three minute span was enough for Marian College to slip by the Foresters for the 3-2 win.

After battling Marian College to a 0-0 tie at the break, the Foresters (2-11, 0-6) took a 1-0 lead 35 seconds into the second half.  Ashley Gonterman stole a weak back pass and tucked it into the corner to give HU the 1-0 lead.  But the Knights picked up their intensity and the Foresters failed to respond.

Marian evened the match in the 53rd minute, took the lead in the 55th minute and got the eventual game-winner in the 56th minute.  HU finally regrouped and made it a game when Bethany McGraw took a pass from Amanda Van Rosendale and sent it home with 20 minutes to play.  It was as close as the Foresters would get.

"We just didn't match their intensity after our first goal and it cost us the game," said Coach Sharpe.  "I felt outside of a 15 minute block of time that this was our game."
