Freshman Stephanie Spitnale scored the first two goals of her
collegiate career to lead the Foresters to a 3-1 victory over Olivet
College. The Comets drew first
blood with a score at the 4:23 mark, but Spitnale quickly answered
back less than 30 seconds later off an assist from Sarah Kaufman to
even the match. Bethany McGraw then gave the Foresters the lead
for good in the 21st minute again off an assist from Kaufman.
Nine minutes later Spitnale put the game away with her second score,
this time with a dish from McGraw. A scoreless second half gave HU the
3-1 victory.
Emily Walker had four saves in goal for
HU. The Foresters out-shot Olivet 12-5.
With the win, HU improves to 6-6-1 for
the season.
