09.21.07 - Bethany McGraw scored in the seventh minute of overtime to edge Goshen College 2-1 and give the Foresters (4-4-1, 1-1) their first conference win of the season.

For 78 minutes, the two teams remained scoreless, but HU's Hannah Kaufman finally broke through with a goal off an assist from Laura Perry at the 78:13 mark. The lead was short-lived as the Maple Leafs answered back less than a minute later.  The Foresters picked up the intensity and created several quality scoring opportunities in the final 11 minutes, but they couldn't find the back of the net.

HU kept up the pressure in the overtime period. McGraw was finally able to cash in off a combined effort from Brittany Carlson and Sarah Kaufman to get the game-winner at the 96.05 mark.

"We really had a lot of chances to end the game much earlier, but couldn't finish," said Coach Sharpe.  Goshen's keeper made a few good saves, but we put a lot right at her."

The Foresters had 14 shots on goal to just five for Goshen and HU keeper Emily Walker had four saves in the match.
