09.08.07 - Sarah Kaufman gave the Foresters some early momentum with a score off a Jennie Stern assist in the second minute of play and the Foresters went on to claim their first victory of the season 4-1 over Bluffton University.

Bethany McGraw made it a 2-0 advantage at the 9:08 mark, but the Beavers answered with a score of their own a minute later to keep HU in sight.  The final 35 minutes of the half went scoreless for both teams.

Eleven minutes into the second half, Hannah Kaufman netted a pass from Brittany Carlson to reestablish HU’s two-goal lead. Sarah Kaufman put the game out of reach with her second score of the day off an assist from Brenda Bair in the 70th minute.

The Foresters outshot Bluffton 10-3.  HU keeper Emily Walker tallied five saves in the match.
