10.10.08 - First year coach, Ryan Burgher, notched his first Mid-Central Conference win with a 1-0 victory over Bethel College.

"It feels really great to get our first conference win," said Coach Burgher.  "Bethel is a good team, but we played very well."

After playing to a scoreless tie in the first half, HU broke through and put one past the Pilot keeper off a corner kick.  After several consecutive failed attempts, Brittany Carlson sent one more in from the corner and this time Bethany McGraw connected with a header into the back of the net to give HU the 1-0 lead at the 50:46 mark.

The Forester defense then finished the job securing the shutout and the win.  HU keeper Emily Walker tallied 11 saves on the day as the Pilots out-shot HU 24-6.

The win moves the Foresters to 6-5-1 on the season and 1-2 in the MCC.
