09.30.08 - It was opening day in MCC play for the Foresters and they came up short falling 2-1 to Marian College.

Stephanie Spitnale put HU on top with a goal at the 31:44 mark of the first half and the scored remained 1-0 at the break.  IN the second half, the Knights quickly equalized the score with a goal two minutes into the stanza and then came up with the game-winner midway through the period.

Marian, who remained unbeaten on the season with the win at 9-0-1, outshot the Foresters 13-4 for the game.  HU keeper Emily Walker recorded four saves.

With the loss, the women fall to 4-4-1 on the season and 0-1 in the MCC.
