Huntington University women’s soccer coach
Ryan Burgher announced the addition of Norwell High School standout,
Brittany Hartman, to this fall's recruiting class. Hartman is the
third player of a very talented recruitment class that has committed
to play for the Foresters for the 2009 season.
Hartman was a four-year starter for the Knight's program and was one
of the team’s most dangerous players. In her senior season, Hartman
scored nine goals and had 10 assists as a central midfielder and was
named Honorable Mention All-Conference. As a junior, Hartman was
named Second Team All-Conference.
In the classroom Hartman is an honor roll student. Hartman also
participates in track at Norwell and is involved in her local youth
group.
Hartman, who is planning on majoring in elementary education says,
“Huntington has everything I have been looking for in a college! I
love the Christian atmosphere and the soccer girls. I’m really
excited to get to know the soccer girls better and to have a great
soccer season!”
“Brittany is going to be a great addition to our team. Her speed is
going to cause problems for defenders, and on top of that she has a
great work ethic," said Coach Burgher. "That combination is going to
make her a very dangerous player. At Huntington we aren’t looking
for just good soccer players. We want the type of person that is
going to help our program move forward off the field and there is no
doubt that Brittany is that type of person. We are all very excited
to have her join the family.”
Hartman is the daughter of Darin and Kamaran Hartman from Ossian,
