Huntington University women’s soccer coach
Ryan Burgher announced that a second Homestead High School standout,
Justine Jost, has signed a letter of intent to continue her playing
career at Huntington University.
Jost was a four-year starter for the Spartans and helped lead
Homestead to four consecutive conference titles during her career.
Jost also was a key component of this past year's squad that made a
run to semi-state in the State tournament and she was presented with
the Top Team Player Award as a result of her outstanding play.
As a club player Jost has played with the Fort Wayne Fever U14 and
U15. She then played for the Citadel for her U16 and U17 seasons.
During her time at Homestead, Jost also has excelled in the
classroom having been named to the honor roll three straight years.
Jost competed in both soccer and track at Homestead, and she is an
active member in her local youth group.
Jost, who will be majoring in nursing at Huntington said, “I chose
Huntington because I have grown close with the coach and the team
unlike any other colleges. The Christian atmosphere is also another
plus.”
“I’m very excited that Justine decided to join our soccer program
here at Huntington," said Coach Ryan Burgher. "Her ability, speed
and height will make her a very dangerous player for other teams to
contend with. Justine has visited campus many times over this past
semester and I can tell that she is absolutely going to fit into our
family here at Huntington.”
Justine Jost is the second player that has committed to play for the
Foresters for the 2009 season and she is
the daughter of
David and Mechelle Jost of Fort Wayne, Indiana. |
