Heading into the 2009-10 season, second year coach Ryan Burgher is optimistic about what the year holds for the Forester women’s soccer team.  Graduating only two players from last year's 8-9-1 squad, they return a solid core of starters.  Leading the way is senior Bethany McGraw who scored a team-high 23 goals and led the MCC in points, goals, shots, shots on goal and game-winning goals.  Junior Emily Walker brings much needed experience to the goalkeeper position.  Scoring nine goals last season, Stephanie Spitnale adds fire power to the HU offense.

Coach Burgher is bringing in a talented group of newcomers who will look to make an immediate impact on the program.  Topping the list include three Homestead graduates, Kate Bienz, Justine Jost and Erin Lessing.  Other new Foresters that will vie for minutes include Concordia HS standout China White and Norwell HS standout Brittany Hartman.

The Foresters open their season with four road games in four different states.  They are primed for the challenge and look forward to an exciting season of soccer.
