- Jessica Deter and Kyleigh Gast picked up the
Foresters' only wins in their 7-2 loss to a solid
Bethel College squad. Gast needed three sets
to defeat Jessica Herbster 7-5, 2-6, 6-2 at #3
singles and Deter knocked off Julianne Houston in
straight sets 6-2, 6-3 at #4 singles. “Jessica was so steady today," said Coach
Turner. "She kept Julianne on the
baseline most of the day. Kyleigh picked up
a nice 3-setter. It was the last match of
the day and she hung in there and just kept
stroking after dropping the second set.”
The loss drops the women to 2-6 on the year and
1-5 in the MCC. |
