9.2.04 - The women’s tennis team suffered a tough 5-4 loss to Grace College in their first conference match of the season. Leading 2-1 after doubles, the Foresters could only come up with two singles victories. Doubles winners were Kyleigh Gast and Jessica Deter at #2 (8-1) and Dawn Lauer and Rachael Boersma at #3 (8-2). Singles winners were Stacy Plett at #2 (6-3, 6-4) and Kyleigh Gast at #3 (6-4, 4-6, 6-0). "Our youth was evident today,” said Coach Turner. “As they get more match experience, we will definitely be a better team.”
