The Foresters were
able to come up with the big points in critical games to down
Manchester College 6-3. HU won closely contested matches 9-7 at both
#1 and #3 doubles then won two three set matches and several tie
breakers in singles to earn the victory.
Stephanie Strong,
Raelyn Althoff and Katie Springer were double winners in the match.
Strong and Althoff paired for the win at #1 doubles and then Strong
downed Nili Ridoult 7-6, 6-0 at #1 singles while Althoff held off
Sarah Conwell 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 at #2 singles. Katie Sprunger and Liz
Hall teamed for the victory at #3 doubles and then Sprunger defeated
Danielle Walker 7-6, 6-3 at #5 singles. Jessica Deter was the other
winner going three sets to down Gordin Youst 6-1, 4-6, 6-4.
The women move to 2-1 on the season with the win. |
