The Foresters had no
trouble with Spring Arbor University as they picked up an 8-1 victory
to move to 2-0 in the MCC and 4-1 on the season.
HU began by sweeping
the doubles. Stephanie Strong and Raelyn Althoff teamed for the 8-4
win at #1. Kendra Ganz and Jessica Deter rolled to the 8-2 win at #2
and Katie Spring and Liz Hull got the 8-3 win at #3.
In singles play, Strong dropped just one game on her way to a 6-0, 6-1
victory at #1. Althoff also won in straight sets 7-6, 6-4 at #2.
Deter picked up her second win of the day 6-1, 6-1 at #4. Sprunger
earned the 6-0, 6-4 victory at #5 and Erica Able rounded out the wins
with a 6-1, 7-5 victory in the sixth spot. |
