- The Foresters traveled to Anderson
University for their final regular season match and came away with a 7-2 win over the
Ravens.
HU swept the three
doubles' matches with little trouble. At #1, Stephanie Strong and
Joni Holsem got the 8-2 win while the duos of Raelyn Althoff and Liz
Hull and Sara Schinderle and Kyla Zartman both shut out their
opponents 8-0 at #2 and #3 doubles respectively.
The Foresters
then took four of the six singles' matches. Liz Hull won in a third
pro set 6-2, 4-6, 10-2 at #3. Erica Abel was a 6-1, 6-0 winner
at #4. Zartman went 6-3, 6-1 at #5 and Schinderle earned the 6-3,
6-2 win at #6.
With the win, the
women conclude their regular season schedule with a 9-4 record.
HU will next compete in the MCC tournament on October 9-11 at
Indiana Wesleyan University. |
