- The Foresters gave a talented Olivet
Nazarene University squad a good fight, but came up short 6-3 in
their fall opener.
Stephanie Strong was HU's lone
double winner on the day. She won 6-4, 6-1 at #1 singles and
then teamed with Raelyn Althoff to get the 8-4 victory at #1
doubles. Freshman Haley Neiderhiser was the Foresters' other
winner in the match. She went 6-3, 6-1 at #2 singles.
"Olivet will
probably be the toughest team we play all year," said Coach Turner.
"Stephanie and Haley played very well. Both ONU players were
extremely difficult to play, but Stephanie and Haley were both very
mentally tough." |
