- The experience and depth of the Foresters
(4-2, 2-1) proved too much for Spring Arbor University as HU downed
the Cougars 7-2.
The Foresters got
off to a good start winning four of the six singles matches. Stephanie Strong
had little trouble at #1 singles with a 6-0, 6-2 win. At #2,
Haley Neiderhiser came back from a 3-0 deficit in the first set to
get the 7-5, 6-2 victory. Raelyn Althoff cruised to the 6-1, 6-3 win
at #3 and Erica Abel got the 6-3, 6-1 victory at #6.
HU left no doubt as
to the outcome of the match by then sweeping the doubles matches.
Strong and Althoff won 8-2 at #1. Joni Holsem and Neiderhiser came
from behind for the 9-7 victory at #2 and Liz Hull and Kristen
Lahman got in the win column with the 8-6 win at #3. |
