- The Foresters left no doubt as to who
was the better team in their match against Defiance College as they
blanked the Yellow Jackets 9-0.
HU's domination
began in doubles play with Raelyn Althoff and Liz Hull winning 8-3
at #1 doubles. Haley Neiderhiser and Joni Holsem shutout their
opponents 8-0 at #2 and #3 doubles partners, Sara Schinderle and
Kyla Zartman, matched it with an 8-0 victory of their own.
The Foresters
took every singles' match in straight sets with no one dropping more
then two games in a set. Neiderhiser went 6-1, 6-2 at #1.
Kristen Lahman was a 6-1, 6-2 winner at #2. Hull got the 6-0, 6-1
victory at #3. Erica Abel topped her opponent 6-1, 6-0.
Lauren Sunderman won 6-1, 6-1 at #5 and Megan Adams blanked her
opponent 6-0, 6-0.
With the win, the
women improve to 6-3 on the season. |
