- The Foresters struggled against MCC rival
falling 8-1 to the Trojans of Taylor University.
Erica Abel was
HU's only winner on the day. She recorded the 6-1, 6-0 win at
#5 singles.
Taylor started things off by sweeping doubles play. Haley
Neiderhiser and Raelyn Althoff fell 8-4 at #1. Joni Holsem and
Kelsey Mark kept it tight losing 9-7 at #2 while Abel and Kristen
Lahman were blanked 8-0 at #3.
In singles action, Neiderhiser went down 6-2, 6-0 at #1. Not
able to finish her first set because of a shoulder injury, Althoff
retired her match giving Taylor the win at #2. Mark (#3) and
Lahman (#4) fell 6-1, 6-0 and 6-4, 6-0 respectively. Lauren
Sunderman came up empty at #6, 6-0, 6-0.
