Head Tennis Coach Gary Turner enters his seventh season as the Foresters' head coach.   Along with his duties as men's and women's tennis coach, Turner also serves as Athletic Director.

Turner came to HU from Central Christian College in Kansas where he had been Athletic Director, a faculty member in the Physical Education department, and head coach of several different sports over the years.  

Turner earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Greenville College in 1975 and a Master of Science in Athletic Administration from Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois.  Turner brings considerable experience in athletic administration and has taught or coached tennis for over 30 years at both the high school and college levels.

In the fall of 2006, Turner was voted the Mid-Central College Conference Co-Coach of the Year for women's tennis.
