been elected President of the Board of Directors of the Huntington County
United Way for 2005.

Students in Dr. Ann McPherren’s Not for Profit
Management class presented the findings of their semester long study, Educational Needs in Huntington County: Assessment and Recommendations
to representatives from the Board of Directors of the Huntington County
United Way and Life Long Learning. Their project was aimed at helping the
United Way and other community leaders determine a direction for the
community grant initiative of the Lilly Endowment.

Jim and Lizzie O'Donnell with mention about Jim's book, Letters for
Lizzie. Jim and Lizzie also served as guests for a brief heart
transplant-related story by WANE/Channel 15 News on September 9. In the near
future, WAJI/Magic 95.1 FM will run taped interviews with Jim and Lizzie in
conjunction with the Northeast Indiana Transplant event at the Grand Wayne
Center on September 23.
