Overton
to speak at Martin Luther King service
Huntington
University will observe Martin Luther King Jr. Day with a
commemoration service that will feature speaker Dr. Lora Overton,
obstetrician and gynecologist for Huntington and Fort Wayne. The
theme of Overton’s presentation will be the Christian and Martin
Luther King Jr.’s dream.
“Chances are, Dr. Overton delivered a number of
Huntington University’s own children into the world,” said Jesse
Brown, assistant dean of student development. “She is a wonderful
woman with a great passion for ministry.”
The service will
begin at 11:15 a.m. on Jan. 15 in the Zurcher Auditorium of the
Merillat Centre for the Arts. The public is invited to attend.
