Huntington to present 'Royal Cricket of Japan'
The
Huntington University Theatre Company will present “The Royal
Cricket of Japan” on April 12, 13, and 14. “The Royal Cricket of
Japan” is an engaging fantasy for children and adults. The story
follows the adventures of Osee, the Royal Cricket Keepers’ son, as
he journeys to find the Royal Cricket of Japan. Whoever holds the
Royal Cricket will become emperor, and Kuda, the Royal Executioner,
has a deceptive plan to gain control of the empire. Osee must shrink
down to the size of the smallest bug and encounter the Tumblebug,
Butterfly and even some Spiders as he searches for the Royal
Cricket.

3Story® prepares young adults for evangelism
Dr.
Dave Rahn, professor of youth ministries at Huntington University,
has collaborated with Youth for Christ to create a series of
materials for young adults focusing on how to build relationships
with Jesus Christ and their friends. The
program, titled “3Story®,” was first introduced to students at the
Youth for Christ DCLA conference in 2003 and 2006. DCLA is a
conference that is held in both Washington, D.C., and Los Angeles
for middle school and senior high students. The program proved to be
effective and had many students asking how they could take the
program back to their friends.
