YML online program achieves accreditation

Huntington University’s newest Master of Arts program in youth ministry leadership has earned accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The program offers a unique combination of distance and online courses. “I’m excited for the chance to communicate the news of this official accreditation to our growing number of prospective students,” said Dr. Dave Rahn, director of the Master of Arts program in youth ministry. “The momentum is picking up.” Details >>


Marion, Miller receive August Peer Awards

Cindy Kreps, financial aid secretary and loan processor, passed the Peer Award to Sandy Marion. Marion is the admissions receptionist and has been with Huntington University for eight years. Dr. Ruth Nalliah, associate professor of chemistry, passed the Peer Award to Dr. Kevin Miller. Miller is assistant professor of communication and has been with Huntington University for four years. 'Walking with Arthur' referenced
The Rev. A. Miller Milloy, general secretary of the United Bible Societies, referenced “Walking with Arthur,” in his commencement address to Taylor University-Upland in May. Milloy cited themes from the book including reflection, risk and legacy. ”Walking with Arthur,” authored by Prof. Jim O’Donnell, associate professor of business, was released in February 2005.
 

Priest co-leads marriage retreat
Dr. Wayne Priest, associate professor of psychology, and Dr. G. Lee Griffith of Anderson University co-led a marriage retreat on February 11 for the Morning Star Church in Kokomo, Ind. The seminar was held at Oakwood Retreat Center in Syracuse, Ind., and approximately 10 couples attended.
