Department of Nursing receives mattresses
Bluffton
Regional Medical Center in Bluffton, Ind., has donated six
mattresses and six over-the-bed tables to Huntington University’s
Department of Nursing.
”These resources
will enhance the bed frames we received in May from Lutheran
Hospital in Fort Wayne and will be used to provide students with a
realistic hospital environment,” said Margaret Winter, director of
the nursing program.

Huntington helps open
new frontier in China
In
the summer of 2007, Huntington University sent a group of five
faculty members, two alumni, and five students on a three-week
teacher training event at the Zhuhai City School. The contract,
called Project Partnership, was given $18,000 by the Republic of
China to allow teachers to receive training in English.
The group from Huntington University was divided up into two
teams, the Academics and the Nesters.

to host national Christian college fair
The North American
Coalition for Christian Admission Professionals will hold a national
Christian college fair in Fort Wayne, Ind. The fair, to be held on
Oct. 4 at Emmanuel Community Church from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., will be
hosted by Huntington University. More than 30 other Christian
colleges and universities from across North America will be present
to answer questions and provide information to students and

Alumna
brings abstinence message to schools
Janelle
Taylor, a 1997 Huntington University graduate, provides
encouragement to students who want to save themselves sexually for
marriage.
She has worked as the executive director of True Life Choices, an
organization that promotes abstinence, since December of 2004. As
part of her responsibilities, Taylor travels to schools in Indiana,
giving students vital skills so they can make wise decisions.

president to address HU Foundation
Dan
Wolgemuth, president of Youth for Christ/USA, will present “A Letter
to the Exiles” at the annual
Huntington University Foundation
Dinner. The event is set for Oct. 9 with a 5:30 p.m. reception and 6
p.m. dinner upstairs in the Habecker Dining Commons. To make
reservations, contact Melissa Cole at (260) 359-4069. Reservations
will be taken until Oct. 3.

Wilson
joins Business Office staff
Amy Wilson will
become the new controller & director of financial services on Oct.
15. Wilson
has a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from the University of
Indianapolis and CPA certification. She has begun work on her MBA
degree at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne. Wilson
has worked in public accounting for a number of years, and prior to
accepting her role at Huntington, she was with Kline’s CPA Group in
Huntington.
