WHAT IS THE CONFERENCE ON FAITH AND HISTORY?

The Conference on Faith and History is an organization of Christians

who are interested in the study of history. Members include both

professional historians and those in other walks of life who have an

orientation toward historical concerns. Although membership is open to all

interested persons, it is assumed that they will be in agreement with the

theological position expressed in the constitution.

The CFH is an Indiana Not for Profit Corporation and is registered as

a tax-exempt organization; dues and gifts to the CFH are tax deductible. The

organization publishes a journal three times yearly (FIDES ET HISTORIA),

issues a newsletter periodically, hosts a session at the annual AHA

convention, and sponsors meetings at other times. Benefits of membership

include the journal, newsletter, mailings from the secretary-treasurer, and an

opportunity to participate in the life of the organization.

HOW MAY ONE BECOME A MEMBER?

Any person is eligible for membership in the Conference on Faith and

History who feels he or she can subscribe to the following statement found in

Article III of the constitution:

+The Holy Scriptures are the Word of God, the Christian's

authoritative guide for faith and conduct.

+Jesus Christ is the Son of God and through his atonement is the

mediator between God and man.
