Professor Bo Helmich
Assistant Professor of Worship Leadership
Colorado native Bo Helmich holds degrees from Stanford, Oxford, and the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary. He is currently in the process of finishing a doctorate in Theology at Duke University.
Prior to coming to Huntington, Professor Helmich served for a number of years as a local church pastor, teacher and worship leader. Building on this foundation, his dissertation research looks at the place of beauty in the normal Christian life. He also has a particular passion for the interplay between worship and and spiritual formation--essentially, how the church's practices of praise and thanksgiving may contribute to the task of making disciples.
Bo and his wife Anne have four children, all named for saints and poets. As time allows he pursues his love of songwriting and Christian music by traveling to Nashville, guitar in hand.
