The Digital Media Arts major has attracted a talented (and quickly growing) group of students who want to use the medium of digital animation to tell stories that convey deeply felt human experiences from a redemptive perspective. Those who major in DMA at Huntington University study with some of the best Christian digital animators in the field, Steve Leeper, Bryan Ballinger, and Shahbaaz Shah. (Read about their work -- from Veggie Tales to Transformers 2 -- and other animated productions by clicking on their names). Students choose from two focused tracks in the DMA program: Animation or Film. Huntington University has a state-of-the-art animation lab with digital media workstations. Students attend an annual Digital Media Arts Showcase festival and can choose to spend a semester at the CCCU’s Los Angeles Film Studies Center. In addition, the Visual Arts Department offers degrees in graphic design, fine art, and art education. We invite you to schedule a campus visit to meet the professors, see the labs, attend a class, and share a meal or two with current students. Contact the Huntington University admissions office at 800-642-6493 for more details. |
