All Secondary Education students must complete the following (preferably in this order).  If you have not completed on schedule one of the items on the list, please see your advisor or someone in the Education Department ASAP.

take ED212 Intro
 take ED236 Ed Psych
 take Sophomore Practicum

 pass PPST with minimum state licensing scores
 apply to the Education program* and interview

 take ED 320 Instructional & Management Strategies
 take ED 410 Secondary Methods

 apply to student teach
 make sure GPA stays above 2.5

 take EDJ395 Multicultural Practicum J-term
 take Praxis II Test(s) including all subject tests for your major and other licensing areas

 take ED440 Topics and Problems
 do Student Teaching ED460

*Note:  To be accepted to the program, students must apply, write an essay, get recommendations, interview, pass the three sections of the PPST, and have at least a 2.5 GPA in both major program course work and all college course work.

Students must be accepted into the program before being allowed to take junior level methods courses.  The student teaching placement process is begun one year before actual student teaching takes place.
