EN121 Supreme Court Case Selection Recent Scholarly Activites (2002-2003) Assistant Professor Herbert Jack Heller joined the Huntington College faculty in August 2002. In the English Department, he teaches core courses and English Literature written before 1800. Heller is a member of the Modern Language Association, the Conference on Christianity and Literature, the Congress on Medieval Studies, the Medieval and Renaissance Drama Society, and the South Central Renaissance Conference. He is also a participant in the Shaksper and ChristLit listservs (online discussion boards). Heller presented two conference papers this year: “Jesus … help him: Lostness and Arthur Miller’s Commentary on Death of a Salesman” at the Mideast Conference on Christianity and Literature and “Dogberry’s Inscrutable Grace: Reformist ‘Propisms’ and Renaissance Malapropisms” at the 38th Annual Congress on Medieval Studies. The paper on Death of a Salesman was published online at http://www.gatheringsonline.org/criticism/LostnessandArthurMiller.htm. This year, Heller has become a member of Christ’s Community Church in Fort Wayne. His community service involved assisting the English Language Institute/China (ELIC) with on-campus recruitment. ELIC is a organization of Christian educators working in Southeast Asia. |
