may be used. At registration, you will pay any required fees, 1/3 of
the tuition, and a $25 installment plan fee. The second installment
will be due the last class of Module 2. The third installment will be
due the first class of Module 4. The three-payment installment plan may
be used in each semester. A promissory note will be required at
registration.
-
Employer Assisted Payment Plan
If your employer will assist you in your educational
costs, you may defer payment of tuition by providing documentation from
the company prior to registration. This includes a letter on company
letterhead or the appropriate company form stating your eligibility and
copy of your company policy regarding percentage of tuition and fees
covered. You will be required to pay all fees and the Enrollment
Deposit, and sign a Promissory Note (Employer
Assisted Payment Plan)
at registration. The College will provide a listing of all charges and
notification of your successful completion of Program modules according
to your employer’s requirements. You agree
to expeditiously submit invoices to your employer for reimbursement and
pay the college not later than the next class meeting after you have
received reimbursement.
-
Credit Cards and Personal Checks
are accepted for
payment of tuition and fees.
The Financial Aid Office
Any student
wishing to apply for financial assistance should contact the Huntington
University Financial Aid Office as early as possible so that your financial
aid eligibility may be determined in a timely manner. You must apply for
admission to the EXCEL Program before the Financial Aid Office can process
your request for financial aid eligibility. When you contact the
Financial Aid Office, identify yourself as a student with questions about
the EXCEL Program. The Financial Aid Office will mail a Financial
Assistance Packet to you, including the Free Application for Federal
Student Aid (FAFSA) and information on applying. You may also
complete the
FAFSA
online. The Financial Aid Office is
available to answer your questions and to help estimate your eligibility
for financial assistance.
Preparing for a college education requires advance
planning. To assist you in making appropriate financial preparations, please familiarize
yourself with the following items and make a checklist of those points which might require
your attention.
Gift Assistance
Grants and scholarships are awarded based upon a variety of
factors but primarily upon your demonstrated financial need. Listed below are some of the
most common forms of gift assistance.
-
Federal Pell Grant
Provided by the federal government and administered by the
University, this grant is based upon financial need.
-
Indiana State Grants
Available to students who enroll full time and qualify based
on need. The grant is not available to persons who already hold a bachelor's degree or
persons from outside the State of Indiana. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid
(FAFSA) is required.
-
Veterans Benefits
Available to those who qualify. Eligibility is determined by
the Veteran's Administration, and potentially eligible students should contact their local
Veteran's Administration representative.
Federal Educational Loans
-
Many students supplement their resources for college with
the use of funds from the Federal Education Loan Program. The Federal Stafford Loan
Program is based upon demonstrated need and is administered through the
college. There is
also a Federal Stafford Un-Subsidized Loan for which most students will qualify.
Eligibility is determined at the time financial aid packages are awarded. Supplemental
Loans to Students (SLS) are available to EXCEL Program students to supplement the Federal
Stafford Loan.
-
The eligibility levels for all of the above mentioned
programs are determined through confidential needs analysis. The confidential analysis
will be based upon the
Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The Student Aid
Report (SAR) which the student receives from the FAFSA must be on file in the Financial
Aid Office.
-
Students who have earned more than 58 semester hours of
college credit may generally borrow sufficient funds through the Stafford Loan Program to
cover EXCEL tuition.
