Going back to college as a working adult can be intimidating. I know this from experience.

But as you contemplate this big move, I can promise that nowhere will you find more support, more accommodation, more personal interest in you as an adult student than you’ll receive from the staff and faculty of the EXCEL Program. Degree programs for working adults have proliferated in our area in recent years, but in this crowded field EXCEL truly stands out.

Let me tell you how, based on my own experience.

I’d been in management since 1988. I’d opened and managed an office that eventually employed 13 people and billed over a million dollars a year. But I did it all instinctively. I had no formal business education, and I’d always regretted that. I also knew that not having a degree limited my potential for advancement.

When tragedy struck my family a few years ago, I resigned from a traveling position as regional manager of a property-tax consulting firm to spend more time with my family. Shortly thereafter I learned of the EXCEL Program. I checked it out, liked what I saw, and signed up.

From orientation through completion, the EXCEL staff made the program doable. The program was invaluable. I learned how to study, how to organize my time, and how to set priorities.

The staff at EXCEL were extremely flexible. They encouraged and supported me. Midway through the program, they helped me step up my pace by doubling up on classes. Nowhere else could I have accomplished so much in 15 months.

But the real key was program content—solid, always useful, plenty of theory grounded in practical, day-to-day business situations. Through EXCEL, I was able to identify the theories behind what I’d always done instinctively. My self-confidence increased greatly.

One week after my EXCEL graduation, I was able to accept a dream position which, by the way, required a bachelor’s degree. Two years later, I became president of my own company. I love to work with people, to motivate and inspire them, and that’s how I spend my days now, thanks to Excel.

Great substance, wonderful personal attention—the combination is unbeatable! I urge you to look into EXCEL. I’m certain you’ll be pleased you did.
