Lori Garde
brings to the graduate school a background in teaching and ministry. She
completed the graduate program at Huntington University while working
full-time. Therefore, she identifies with current students and tries
to make the education process as student-friendly as possible. Lori
remains active in the local Nazarene church as a Sunday School teacher,
chairperson for the adult ministries committee, director of costumes for
the many plays that take place at the church, and is involved in the
Helping Hands program that assists the local community with basic needs.
She also is an avid quilter, cook, gardener and dedicates her vacation
time to mission trips around the world. To register for classes,

Julie Goetz
Coordinator of Online Programs
B.S. Indiana University
Julie brings her experience in computer training and technology to
the Graduate School through the online program in Youth Ministry
Leadership. With both parents being teachers, Julie also is able to
bring the teaching aspect into the job setting by helping both
students and Faculty navigate the internet and online component of
the programs. Julie is an active member and Sunday school teacher at
the local church she grew up in, and working with adolescent girls.
She is also an active committee member of the Pathfinders Services
Organization, which deals with special needs clients. She enjoys
gardening and spending time with family and friends. For questions

Amy Mattox
Director of Graduate Admissions and Marketing
B.A. Purdue University; M.A.
Purdue University
Amy began working in the graduate school in August 2008. Prior to
working here, she served as an admissions counselor for the
undergraduate admissions office for four and a half years. She
brings her expertise in public relations and marketing to the
graduate school in order to better serve prospective students. Amy
is responsible for the admissions and marketing for the M.A. in
Youth Ministry Leadership, the M.A. in Ministry Leadership, and the
M.A. in Counseling programs. She also brings a teaching background
and still teaches on the undergraduate level. She is actively
involved in her church and loves spending time with her husband and
