military students

Huntington University values our nation's protectors, and wants to do everything possible to help them succeed in higher education. We were awarded a Military-Friendly school designation from Victory Media, Inc.

For more information, contact Beth Dubois, assistant registrar, at bdubois@huntington.edu.

To determine their benefit eligibility, military students should call (888) GI-BILL1 (888-442-4551).

From military students, Beth needs the following: Name, VA Chapter Benefits (33, 35, or Post 9/11 GI Bill), and confirmation that they have applied for benefits. To apply for benefits, please complete the Application for VA Education Benefits: http://www.vba.va.gov/pubs/forms/vba-22-1990-are.pdf. Huntington University’s school code for veteran’s benefits is 22-1995. Once the application is completed, you will receive a certificate of eligibility, and Beth needs a copy of this as well as a copy of your DD Form 214 (your military service record). You can request the DD Form 214 by logging on to http://www.archives.gov/veterans/military-service-records/about-service-records.html.

Veterans’ Benefits provided by government agencies may be used at Huntington. Huntington University is approved for educational training of veterans and their families under US Code Title 38, Section 1775. Applications and certifications for veterans programs are handled through the Office of the Registrar.
