HUNTINGTON,
IN—As part of
their 2001 tour, contemporary Christian band
Caedmon’s Call
will perform at Huntington College on Saturday, April 7. The concert
will begin at 7:30 p.m. on the main stage of the Merillat Centre for the
Arts.
The
tour features music from the group’s latest album and sixth studio
release, Long Line of Leavers, released in October of 2000.
Reserved tickets for the show are now available for $15 at the Merillat
Centre Box Office. The Box Office is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4

Texas-based
Caedmon’s Call is one of the hottest bands in Christian music today,
with five
No. 1 Christian radio singles to their credit. They were Release
magazine’s “Band of the Year” for 2000, while their previous release
40 Acres spent four weeks at the top of SoundScan’s Christian
retail charts in 1999. In 1997, Caedmon’s Call set the record for the
most units sold in the first week of sales by a debut Christian artist
with their self-titled album Caedmon’s Call. The group was also
named one of the “Top 50 Unsigned Bands” in the United States by Musician
Magazine in 1996.
The
April 7 concert is presented by the Huntington College Student
Activities Board and radio station WLAB.
