Huntington’s visit brochure receives national award

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
HUNTINGTON, IN—Helping students make the right college choice is the top priority for Huntington College’s admissions counselors.  The College’s admissions staff recently tested their recruitment materials against the best in the country in the 16th Annual Admissions Advertising Awards competition.  Huntington’s campus visit brochure, “The Sky’s the Limit,” won the prestigious Silver Award.  Standing out from submissions by other schools with enrollment under 2000, Huntington’s brochure was honored both for its creativity in design as well as the positive message it sends to prospective students.

The annual competition is sponsored by the Admissions Marketing Report, a national magazine about college recruiting published in Atlanta, Georgia. Award winners were recognized in the February 2001 edition.

“The Sky’s the Limit” is a key component of a new set of Huntington College admissions materials designed to meet the needs of knowledgeable prospective students who are making their own educational decisions. The new literature was developed for Huntington College by Creative Communication of America, Inc., of Albany, New York.

“The Sky’s the Limit” encourages college-bound students to personally visit the Huntington College campus.  “Students who visit our college will not just hear about buildings and computer labs, they will have opportunities to personally experience life at Huntington College. They can visit a class, attend chapel, interact with students and professors over lunch, and meet with a coach, admissions specialist or financial aid expert,” said Jeff Berggren, dean of enrollment. “Each campus visit is tailored to meet the needs of the individual student.”
