Alpha
Chi values top sophomores’ effort FOR RELEASE
April 27, 2001
These exceptional students all have a cumulative
grade point average of 3.97 or higher and will most likely become members
of Alpha Chi when they become eligible as juniors and seniors.
Dr. Paul Michelson, college sponsor of Alpha Chi and professor of
History, says, “Since membership in Alpha Chi is limited to juniors and
seniors, we wanted to do something to honor students who have worked hard
their first two years of college.” The Huntington College chapter of Alpha Chi was
recently named the winner of the President’s Cup recognizing the chapter
as the most outstanding of Alpha Chi’s 300 chapters nationally.
The President’s Cup is awarded every second year.
The chapter is also one of only eight schools to be named a Star
Chapter all six years the award has been in existence. # # # Huntington
