Kappa Delta Pi elects new officers for 2002-03

HUNTINGTON, IN -The Omega Pi Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi at Huntington College announced their elected officers for the 2002- 2003 school year. Kappa Delta Pi, an International Honor Society for Educators with more than 60, 000 member worldwide, was founded in 1911. Huntington College has carried its charter with the society since May of 2000.

Induction into Kappa Delta Pi requires that an education student achieve at least a 3.3 cumulative grade point average, be a sophomore, junior, or senior, and have “exhibited the ideals of scholarship, high personal standards, and promise in teaching and allied professions.”

The new officers that Kappa Delta Pi has elected for the 2002- 2003 school year were elected anonymously and with no write in votes on the ballot. Erika Helm from Waynesboro Pa., will hold the office of President. April Wyne from New Madison, Ohio, will hold the office of Vice-President. The office of Secretary was elected to Rebecca Schmit from Uniondale, Ind. Natalie Guenin from Wabash, Ind., will hold the office of Treasurer, and the office of Historian was elected to Elizabeth Weber from Lemont, Ill. These officers were installed at the conclusion of the Spring Initiation of new members on April 16, 2002.
