Sarah Gordon garners weekly athletic honor

HUNTINGTON, IN— The Huntington College athletic department announced its Athlete of the Week for the week of December 8-15, 2002. Women’s basketball senior Sarah Gordon earned the honor for her excellent efforts during the week’s competition.

Gordon, a history education major from Wolcottville, Ind. (Prairie Heights High School), led all scorers with 26 points in a 61-46 victory over Siena Heights on Saturday, Dec. 14. She went 7-15 from the field (5-10 behind the arc) while tearing down four rebounds, dishing out two assists and garnering one steal. She also went 7-8 from the charity stripe. Gordon is a Dean’s List honoree. The Lady Foresters are currently 6-5 on the season.

The Huntington College Foresters compete in 14 intercollegiate sports for men and women. In the past six years, Huntington has produced 39 All-America honors and 67 All-America Scholar Athlete honors.
