Science Festival to showcase Riverview Middle School
FOR RELEASE March 27, 2003 The HC students participating in this mentoring opportunity are enrolled in Science Methods and Materials, under the instruction of Professor Susan Burson. Burson is newest instructor in the Education Department. Before coming to Huntington College, she taught kindergarten at Jessamine Early Learning Village in Wilmore, Ky. Professor Burson received her Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education at Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, N.C., and a Masters degree in Early Childhood Education at Georgetown College in Georgetown, Ky. Burson has also taken related coursework at Asbury Theological Seminary. The public is cordially invited to attend the Science Festival on April 12, to support the hard work of the Riverview students. The Festival is in collaboration with Deb Daugherty and Mark DuBois, eighth grade science teachers at Riverview.
