Graphic Design majors present “Who We Are” FOR RELEASE April 17, 2003 An artist reception will be held on Saturday, April 26, from 6-8 p.m. The public is cordially invited to attend, free of charge. Boothman, a native of Camden, Mich., will display various posters representing biblical verses as well as a suite of works for the group, Sevenglory. Boothman’s works synthesize his design skills with his creative and religious disposition. Hogg, a native of Webberville, Mich., will include artwork heavily influenced by his passion for skateboarding. Hogg believes there is a void in the skateboarding industry for Christian art and influence. Because of this, he will exhibit several mockups of skateboards that he designed, as well as a website and business stationary for Plank Designs, a skateboard company he has created. Winger, a native of Columbia City, Ind., will present an exhibit strongly influenced by her work with Youth for Christ. Her exhibit includes a series of informational brochures as well as a demonstration of her skills in a marketing campaign. Winger feels privileged to help Youth for Christ communicate its message to the surrounding areas. The Robert E. Wilson Gallery is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., before and after all Merillat Centre performances, and by appointment. Admission is free.
