Kendall, St. Louis, Forester Athletes of the Week FOR RELEASE October 27, 2003
Jessica Kendall, an environmental
science major from Greensburg, Indiana (South Decatur High
School), helped lead
the Forester volleyball team to a 2-3 record last week with 76 kills and
20 blocks. In the Foresters’ loss to Mid-Central Conference foe St.
Francis, Kendall claimed team-high honors with 18 kills. In the team’s
weekend tournament at Manchester College, she put down 58 kills and added
20 blocks to help lead the team to a 2-2 record. The Foresters are next
in action on Tuesday, October 28, a home match against Indiana Wesleyan
University at 7:30 p.m. David St. Louis, a mathematics education major from Dewitt, Michigan (Owosso High School), helped the Forester cross country team secure its first Mid-Central Conference title in 15 years. St. Louis finished fourteenth in the race with a time of 27:41, his best time of the season by 38 seconds. Huntington won the event with a team score of 50, seven points better than Indiana Wesleyan, which finished second with 57 points. The Foresters will now compete in the NAIA Region VIII Championship Saturday, November 8 at Aquinas College in Michigan.
