Area college choirs join to perform Cantata for Peace

FOR RELEASE April 14, 2004

HUNTINGTON, IN—The Huntington College Concert Choir will combine with the choirs of Anderson and Taylor Universities and the New World Orchestra Youth Symphony of the Indianapolis Symphony Association to present Cantata for Peace by the British composer, Ralph Vaughan Williams. The performances are based on one of the most well-loved poems by American poet Walt Whitman and quotes from John Bright and the Old Testament prophets. The concert will take place at Parkplace Church of God in Anderson, Ind., on Sunday, April 25, 2004, at 5:00 p.m.
