Media guides garner awards from NAIA-SIDA
FOR
RELEASE July 1, 2008 For the fifth year in a row, a Forester media guide won best cover in the country with this year’s honors going to both men’s soccer and men’s basketball. Two of the guides also placed in the top 10 for content. The women’s basketball guide was fourth, and the men’s basketball guide was sixth in both basketball brochure divisions. This is the seventh time in as many years that Huntington University has received national recognition in the NAIA-SIDA Publications Contest. Julie Babb, assistant director for creative services, designed both of the award-winning covers. Lori Culler, sports information director, and Marjorie Brumm, public relations student assistant, along with Babb, were responsible for the content, layout and design of both the men’s and women’s basketball guides. Huntington University is a comprehensive Christian college of the liberal arts offering graduate and undergraduate programs in more than 70 academic concentrations. U.S.News & World Report ranks Huntington among the best colleges in the Midwest. Founded in 1897 by the Church of the United Brethren in Christ, Huntington University is located on a contemporary, lakeside campus in northeast Indiana. The University is a member of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU).
