Joe Mertz Center, Red Cross to host fall blood drive

HUNTINGTON, IN—Huntington University’s Joe Mertz Center for Volunteer Service and the Huntington County Chapter of the American Red Cross will sponsor a blood drive that is open to the community from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Sept. 11 at College Park Church, 1945 College Ave., Huntington.

Those interested in donating may register online at www.givelife.org. The sponsor code is “hu.”

Founded in 1992, the Joe Mertz Center for Volunteer Service has become an integral part of Huntington University campus life. During the 2007-2008 academic year, students, faculty and staff volunteered for more than 12,900 hours, serving families, organizations and programs.
