Merillat Centre hosts Doran Wilson photography exhibit
FOR RELEASE FEBRUARY 16, 1998
HUNTINGTON, IN— The Merillat Centre for the Arts at Huntington College will host a collection of fine art and commercial photographic images by Doran Wilson. The exhibit opens February 20 with a public reception for the artist from 6 to 8 p.m. The exhibit will continue through March 27. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. Doran Wilson is one of Indiana's foremost photographers. He was the recipient of the William M. Krider Award in 1992, 1993, 1994 and 1995. He received the Kodak Gallery Award of Photographic Excellence in 1986, 1990, 1993, 1994, 1995, and 1997. He presently serves as president of the Professional Photographers of Indiana. He is also an instructor at the Winona School of International Photography (Atlanta). Wilson operates his own studio in conjunction with Marketing Impact, his family-owned, full-service communications firm in Fort Wayne.
