Huntington College announces Who's Who members
Fifteen campus leaders honored

HUNTINGTON, IN -- The 1996 edition of Who's Who Among Students in American
Universities and Colleges will include the names of fifteen students from Huntington
College who have been selected as national campus leaders.
Campus nominating committees and editors of the annual directory have included the
names of these students based on their academic achievement, service to the community,
leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for continued success.
They join an elite group of students from more than 1,800 institutions of higher
learning in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and several foreign nations.
Outstanding students have been honored in the annual directory since it was first
published in 1934.
Students named this year from Huntington College are:
- Nancy E. Anderson, a senior educational ministries major. She is the daughter of Gerald
and Melanie Anderson of Roanoke, Indiana. Anderson has been involved extensively with the
Huntington College theater department and is a member of Alpha Chi national honor society.
- Angie Atalla, a senior broadcasting major. She is the daughter of Nabil and Kanchana
Atalla of Kokomo, Indiana. Atalla has been involved in Huntington College theater, the
Huntington College television show, "HCTV," as a resident assistant and as
senior class vice president.
- Amy J. Branson, a senior choral education major. She is the daughter of Millard and
Dorothy Branson of Hillsdale, Michigan. Branson has been involved with the Huntington
College women's tennis team, choir and theater productions.
- Steve J. Gladhill, a senior elementary education major. He is the son of Ralph and Vicki
Gladhill of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. Gladhill has been active in student senate. In
addition, he tutors at-risk children through the Bridges program of HC's Joe Mertz Center
for Volunteer Service.
- Ryan E. Groves, a senior broadcasting major. He is the son of Randolph and Carol Groves
of Columbia City, Indiana. Groves has been involved with the golf team and the Huntington
College television show, "HCTV."
- Tara L. Hallman, a senior elementary education major. She is the daughter of Karen
Johnson of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Hallman has served as a student leader of the Joe Mertz
Center for Volunteer Service and has been active in choir and Huntington College theater
productions. She has also served as a resident assistant.
- Timothy M. Hallman, a senior Bible and religion major. He is the son of Gerald and
Rozanne Hallman of Montgomery, Michigan. Hallman has been involved with student senate and
the soccer team. He has served as a resident assistant and as coordinator of the
student-led chapel, "Why Not."
- Sara R. Kimlick, a senior English education major. She is the daughter of Janet Kimlick
of New Paris, Indiana. Kimlick toured two summers with Doc Rainbow's Colorful All-Star
Revue. She has performed with the college choir and has appeared in many theater
productions. She has also served as a freshman advisor and is a member of the Alpha Chi
national honor society.
- April L. Malson, a senior history major. She is the daughter of Charles and Kathy Malson
of Clare, Michigan. Malson is a member of the college choir, donates time through the Joe
Mertz Center for Volunteer Service, and is a member of the Alpha Chi national honor
society.
- Brandon R. Murphy, a senior business management major. He is the son of Clyde Dailey of
Hope, Indiana. Murphy has been involved with the Huntington College men's basketball and
golf teams, student senate, and the Joe Mertz Center for Volunteer Service. He also serves
as a resident assistant.
- Valerie L. Pfafman, a senior elementary education major. She is the daughter of Aaron
and Linda Pfafman of LaGrange, Indiana. Pfafman has been involved with the Joe Mertz
Center for Volunteer Service, Alpha Gamma Pi service sorority and the national honor
society Alpha Chi.
- Anup Sharma, a senior computer information science major. He is the son of Suresh and
Sant Osh Sharma of Fiji. Sharma is the first international student at Huntington College
to be elected student body president. He has been involved with the International Club,
the Joe Mertz Center for Volunteer Service, and the Alpha Chi national honor society. He
has also served as a tutor, computer lab assistant, student ambassador, resident assistant
and is a member of the Alpha Chi national honor society.
- Shelly R. Small, a senior English education major. She is the daughter of Gary and Linda
Small of Franklin, Pennsylvania. Small has been involved in Campus Life and Huntington
College theater as well as serving as a freshman advisor.
- Jay D. Weiseman, a senior business management major. He is the son of David and Alice
Weiseman of Somonauk, Illinois. Weiseman has been a member of the Huntington College cross
country and track teams.
- Alicia K. Wright, a senior elementary education major. She is the daughter of Larry and
Jean Wright of LaFontaine, Indiana. Wright has been involved in Huntington College women's
volleyball, hall council and the Joe Mertz Center for Volunteer Service.
