History Pre-Law Programs

This site is designed to help prospective Huntington University students who are interested in preparing for law school through a history major. The History major has several options for pre-law students within the History BA degree program:

  • the BA in History, general track. Dr. Paul Michelson is the faculty advisor for this track.

  • the BA in History: Political Studies track. Dr. Jeffrey Webb is the faculty advisor for this track.

  • the BA in History: Pre-law track. Dr. Jeffrey Webb is the faculty advisor for this track.

Each of these programs involves completing the history BA core. Students preparing for history-related careers---such as graduate study, librarianship, or archival work---would normally take the general track BA program, Students interested in government service, political campaigns, and other public service, as well as pre-law might choose the Political Studies track, which involves an internship. Students who are planning to go to law school might want to take the Pre-law track.

For further information about the Pre-law program, please consult its home page.
