History Pre-Law Programs

This site is designed to help prospective Huntington University students who are interested in preparing for law school through a history major.

The History major has several options for pre-law students within the History BA degree program:

  • History

  • Political Studies

  • Pre-law

Each of these tracks involves completing the history BA core. Students preparing for history-related careers (such as graduate study, librarianship, or archival work) would normally take the general track BA program.

Students interested in government service, political campaigns, and other public service, as well as pre-law might choose the Political Studies track, which involves an internship.

Students who are planning to go to law school might want to take the Pre-law track.
