horizon leadership program

The Horizon Leadership Program is a partnership between Huntington University and Youth for Christ with the goal of creating a more racially and ethnically diverse campus.

The Horizon Leadership Program encourages the holistic development of student leaders through “CAPSS”:

  • Community service
  • Academic success
  • Professional/leadership development
  • Spiritual development
  • Social involvement

Students in the program are required to maintain a 2.5 grade point average, meet with the director of the program weekly and volunteer at the Primetime Center in Fort Wayne.

Horizon shows success with first graduatesFour years ago, Huntington University created a program to promote a more racially and ethnically diverse campus. This spring, the university will graduate its first students from that program.
YFC president to speak at commencementHuntington University will host its 114th commencement exercises at 3 p.m. May 12 in the fieldhouse. The university will award master’s, bachelor’s and associate degrees to 264 graduates. The university will also award three honorary doctorate degrees.
