“The Glass Menagerie”

The story centers around a
family living in a tenement in St. Louis in the 1930s. Tom Wingfield, a
would-be poet, works in a shoe warehouse to help support the family, but
longs to travel the world. His frail sister, Laura, is a young woman who
loves to tend her collection of glass figurines, but real-life encounters
make her sick with fright. Their domineering mother Amanda, a one-time
Southern debutante who pines over her lost youth and bad marriage, frets
over their living conditions and her children’s futures. One of the most
famous plays of the modern theatre. A drama of great tenderness, charm and
beauty.

If Shakespeare had a
“greatest hits” DVD, this would be the live show! Many scholars agree that
the closest thing to Shakespearean productions in the modern theatre is the
musical. This idea has been taken to heart and developed into a simple
concept show that fuses the musical theatre of today with the lively and
robust theatre of Elizabethan England.

Based on Louisa May
Alcott’s own family experiences (and novel), “Little Women” follows the
adventures of Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy March as they grow up in Civil War
America. The beloved story of the March sisters is timeless and deals with
issues as relevant today as when they were written. Now, this wonderful
narrative has been brought to life as an exhilarating new musical filled
with glorious music, dancing and heart.

“Radium Girls”

In 1926, radium was a
miracle cure, Madame Curie an international celebrity, and luminous watches
the latest rage—until the girls who painted them began to fall ill with a
mysterious disease. Inspired by a true story, “Radium Girls” traces the
efforts of Grace Fryer, a dial painter, as she fights for her day in court.
As the case goes on, Grace finds herself battling not just with the U.S.
Radium Corporation, but with her own family and friends, who fear that her
campaign for justice will backfire.

“A Midsummer Night’s Dream”
is an airy, romantic romp in the woods among bumbling rustics, temporarily
star-crossed lovers, and the charming fairies who bewitch them all.
Shakespeare weaves a chaotic and comical tale of misunderstanding, mischief,
and magic in which, like the dream-state it mimics, no harm is permanent and
all is pleasantly resolved by the play’s end. A joyous celebration of love,
language, and life itself.

It is Christmas in New
York, but for two young lovers, Jim and Della, the prospects are bleak, as
both are out of work and penniless. But as those familiar with the famous O.
Henry story are aware, their dilemma is solved when both part with their
most precious possessions (she her beautiful long hair, he his heirloom
pocket watch) to buy presents for each other thereby creating, at least for
a magical moment, an aura of warmth and giving in the cold, impersonal
winter city.
