Our mission is "to develop thoughtful and faithful leaders who will equip others for effective ministry." We are discipleship-based in our approach. Our primary task is to help you be prepared to implement Biblically sound strategies for ministry.

Huntington University is home to the Link Institute for Faithful and Effective Youth Ministry. This think-tank is devoted to a single purpose: improving the practice of youth ministry (www.linkinstitute.com). 

Our Department also has strong affiliation with one of the most effective Youth for Christ chapters in the country. In Huntington and Fort Wayne, you’ll gain the knowledge, skills, and commitments necessary to lead teenagers toward increasing maturity and faithfulness in their relationship with God.

A unique part of our program is the PRIME Experience (Practical Research through Immersion and Ministry Evaluation). During this seven-month internship, you’ll be mentored by effective ministry leaders. PRIME experiences are offered in churches and teen-focused ministries throughout the United States and around the world, including Australia, Germany, Honduras, Kenya, and Macau.
